Hello there! Glad you found your way to my blog 🙂
I recently started a Foodstagram on Instagram and figured I should have a blog to go with it, so here it is! First off, I want to introduce myself and let you know how I got here.
All my life, I’ve been passionate about food. My friends and family always tease me because I act like every bite of food I take is the best bite I’ve ever had. Without noticing it, I’m constantly saying “ooooh” and “mmmmm” when foods taste really good. My mom says it’s because that’s what my dad would say when he was feeding me as a baby! Funny how things like that stick with you throughout your entire life. That being said, those ooooh’s and mmmmm’s are usually warranted because, fortunately, I eat a lot of great food.
Growing up in Arizona, my family rarely ate out at restaurants. Cooking brought us together, allowed us to eat healthy, and set a standard of wellness that I now appreciate so much. I thank my mom for teaching me how to cook and create healthy habits, I am forever grateful 🙂
On the other side of the healthy lifestyle spectrum comes exercise. Exercising has always been at the forefront of my life from my childhood days of softball and competitive swimming to my adult life of weight training and running. I am constantly trying new exercises, striving to beat my running pace, and planning trips to go hiking & skiing (usually in Colorado). That said, I don’t post nearly as many fitness-related pictures as I want to because, to be honest, selfies aren’t really my thing.
Currently, I’m residing in Denver, CO and taking advantage of all the outdoor activities. This summer I hiked Mt. Massive, Pikes Peak, and many other local trails in the area! If you’re in Denver, let’s connect!
